Saving The Bay

Our Story:

In November, MCPS (Montgomery County Public Schools), assigns all sixth grade students to do 10 hours of SSL, formerly known as community service. Myself, Lane Miles, along with two my close friends, Eyal Hanfling and Issac Rubin, decided to team up to get our 10 hours. We all decided that the Chesapeake Bay should be the focus of our project, and it was a good choice. We learned that the Bay was in dire conditon, and needed someones help.

To educate all citizens in the Bay's six state watershed we decided to make brochures. In the brochure we discuss how the Bay's problems start and how you can help. We provide a list of easy to use alternatives that are not toxic and even a list of safe alternatives to products such as Easy-Off. All three of us firmly believe that with support from all people we can make an improved Chesapeake Bay not just an idea, but a reality.
